National UK Hardship Grants for Single Mothers – UKES Funding

  • At Energy Wizards, we know it can be hard for single mothers to manage household bills, particularly energy bills. So UK Energy Support (UKES) provides various grants to help relieve financial pressure and improve home efficiency.
  • Through the ECO4 and GBIS schemes, you can get free loft or cavity wall insulation, if you’re eligible. These government-backed schemes will help reduce energy costs by upgrading your insulation for free.
  • If you rely on electric heating, you could be eligible for a storage heater replacement grant, enabling you to replace ancient electric heaters with new energy-efficient high-retention storage heaters – free of charge, again.
  • UKES also offers funding for critical home engine repairs, to make your residence more energy efficient. Although these do not involve direct cash payments, they can reduce your energy use by a considerable amount.
  • You could even be offered an Air Source Heat Pump; this appliance uses renewable air energy from outside to heat your home in a far more efficient way – and available free under ECO4.
  • And lastly, there could be free solar panel installations to help you produce your own clean energy and reduce those monthly bills.
  • These grants are designed for low-income families and single parents. Find out if you are eligible today and get started on your path to a warmer, more energy-efficient home.
